Styles within reach: Boho Rainbow Bedroom
When wallpaper feels overwhelming, picking out some accessories and decor can help give you a bigger picture for the room and clarify your choice. This post is the first in a series of real life design inspiration. We aren’t sharing expensive out of reach decor, but real life, budget friendly accessories from easily accessible stores like Target.
Boho is a consistent resurgence in every era of design. It is a relatable, organic style that gives freedom to express your individuality with comfortable pieces that also connect to nature. Warm, earthy tones casually curated with natural materials and layered fabrics are just what we are looking for in a cozy bedroom. First, I always start with my walls, and today I am just so inspired by our Boho Watercolor Rainbow Wall Mural.
(I went to my local Target and played around with some combinations. Here you can see them in my cart. I fell in love with the adorable rainbow toy basket and the sunshine mirror!)
When I got home, I assembled a mood board. This board provides some major visual inspiration and it helped to organize my ideas!
First thing to note, while this design looks like a non-repeating wall mural, it actually repeats every 6 panels wide which means you can span this wall mural over and over again if you're interested in wrapping a full room or a really long wall. Each panel will be labeled numerically at the bottom for install. The impact of a mural for your accent wall is just incredible! Think of it like a work of art that covers the whole wall! Below is an example of a wall that is 9 feet tall by 15 feet wide.
This bamboo mirror was the first thing that caught my eye while shopping at Target. It just fits so nicely with the rainbow clouds on the wall, and the practical nature of it. I don’t think you can ever go wrong with bamboo for layering texture!
For the bedding, I absolutely loved these green ladybug dotted sheets. They had such a sweet touch of whimsy.
When paired with a beautiful dusky pink duvet set, it gives such a comfy cozy vibe.
Adding in the crushed velvet throw pillow adds a great texture and interest point.
The finishing touch to our boho room makeover was this adorable rattan rainbow book basket! I just loved how it echos the colors of the wall, but the texture adds such a fun interest point.
Putting all these together in a room is such a great starting point for inspiration. And this wallpaper can still provide a lovely backdrop as styles change with just some bedding and accessories swaps.
